Jenna Quinn was first asked to speak in public and share her testimony as a young teenager. Since then, she has pioneered the national child sexual abuse prevention movement since 2004. She is also an author, TED speaker, trainer, and the namesake of Jenna’s Law legislation on the state and federal level.
Passed unanimously in Texas in 2009, Jenna’s Law was the first child sexual abuse prevention education mandate in the U.S named after a survivor requiring K-12 sexual abuse prevention for students, school staff, and caregivers. It requires each school district to adopt and implement a prevention policy that educates students, teachers, and caregivers on how to prevent, recognize, and report child sexual abuse. Now, over half the country has adopted legislation reflecting the principals of Jenna’s Law, including federal legislation filed called, “The Jenna Quinn Law.”
With a Masters Degree in Communications, Jenna has reached international audiences, educating and sharing her inspiring story with legislatures, law-enforcement, abuse-prevention groups, schools, communities of faith, nonprofit organizations, and the general public delivering over 500 keynote speeches.
As a survivor who benefited from the services of a Children’s Advocacy Center, Jenna has worked with over 100 Child Advocacy Centers across the country. She's also helped raise over $20 million dollars for organizations fighting child sexual abuse.
Moreover, she has worked with over 26 states to help implement prevention education policies. Jenna is also featured in the "It’s Not Just Jenna” documentary film that depicts her story of hope and is shown to groups all across the country.
Jenna is also the founder of Reveal To Heal International nonprofit. She has participated in both local and international radio, television, and news programs, including Glamour Magazine, CBN, CNN, and our United States Senate. She is a wife and a mother and lives with her family in the Dallas, Texas area. Jenna Quinn has dedicated the past 18 years of her life to educating and inspiring others.
In a swift and breathtaking narrative, Pure In Heart tells the astonishing true story of how sixteen-year-old Jenna Quinn broke free from years of sexual abuse at the hands of a trusted family friend and coach. After the painful effects of the abuse almost cost Jenna her life, she found the courage to tell her story.
With actual court impact statements, this book gives the reader a clear picture of how sexual abuse begins, progresses, and affects so many innocent lives. In Pure In Heart, Jenna is transparent about her road to recovery and healing that eventually led to her greatest passion: protecting children from abuse.
Jenna’s story answers the uncomfortable questions people have about child sexual abuse: How can a family not see the signs? What causes a child to keep silent for years? What resources and skills can we teach children to help them prevent or end abuse by speaking up?
This book is not just a memoir; it’s also a training tool with prevention as the hallmark. Jenna wrote this book to intentionally raise awareness for social change, with hopes of helping survivors find true healing and freedom.
"This book can give courage, hope, and support to anyone.”
